I don't know if anyone else caught it, but Doc Roe, aka. Shane Taylor, was in the Day of the Triffids on BBC1 last night.
He is playing a nasty little creep called Osman. Part 2 is on 9.00 tonight.

Title: Good Soldier 1/1
Author: [info]buffyaddict13
Fandom: Band of Brothers
Rating: R for swearing and violence
Words: ~9,000
Characters/Pairing: Gen, Ronald C. Speirs and glimpses of pretty much everyone in Easy Company
Disclaimer: I wrote this based on the character Ron Speirs in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, not the real man. I mean no disrespect to the real Ron Speirs or his family.
A/N 1: The first time I watched Band of Brothers I thought Speirs was creepy and kind of horrible. Then I realized he held Chuck Grant's hand in "Points" and everything changed. I might not agree with everything Speirs did, I might not accept a cigarette from him, but I respect him, and I kind of love him.
A/N 2: Thank you to my wonderful beta [info]hiyacynth . I'd be lost without you. I'm worse at maps than Sobel.

Every soldier thinks something of the moral aspects of what he is doing. But all war is immoral and if you let that bother you, you're not a good soldier.

Tell me one holiday tradition that your family always partakes in that just makes your day. Or something odd that you would never admit to loving.

Hi there, folks - I was wondering if anyone was able to give me more information concerning "Svartediket", the self-proclaimed black metal musical? I stumbled across the trailer/promo on YouTube the other day.

Their website offers a link to buy theatre (cinema, I presume) tickets, but I'm still at a loss as to what it actually is. Real? Hoax? They also have a MySpace page but the English translation is kinda poor and doesn't enlighten me much.

Apologies if this is a totally noob question, I'm just curious. :P

Has anyone ever been to either event or know of any others that take place in Greece. Im in the begining stages of planning a vacation, hopefully sometime in 2010 or 12. Came across these events listed on wikipedia and wondered if anyone here has any feed back on them or know of anything else that might be interesting. I'm coming from San Francisco, California USA if that matters at all.
